Treading Water

Going AWOL for a couple of days- I have two paintings on commission, a logo design, a pattern order and a children’s book author has contacted me for some sketches that might lead to doing her book. Also- I have three quilts to bind and finish for the nice great-grandma I visit teach, a new calling at church, therapy to start for Bean, a nephew due to be born any day, a leather couch to sew back together, a WIC appointment, the annual pot-luck for the quilters guild, and three totally out-of-control kids who’ve been up waaaaaay too late every night this week. Tantrums? Uh, yeah. Fighting? Check. Screaming and crying? Yup. And the kids are in bad shape too.
Be back in a couple of days.

For all the craziness, it sounds like it will be a good couple of days – helping others as well as yourself. Paint, patterns, sketches for a children’s book author… Wahoo!

Though it’s a lot to handle, so many of those things are so fantastic and exciting! Good luck with all of it. I can’t wait to see/hear how it all goes when you’re done and you’ve had a big long nap.
