Yeah, last night I chose sleep rather than quilting. I mean, I went to bed as soon as I put the baby to bed, about 8:15pm. Its sad, but a mom has to do what a mom has to do.
Would you please paint today though… and then post a picture of your progress. I love the few glimpses I have had of your talent!

Sounds like you live in a movie theater!

Don’t apologize. You know your time and level of priorities at any given moment better than we all do! But now you’ve promised to paint…

Ooh! I love the new banner, it gives me hope for warm, green days ahead. Not here where I live, since it’s red desert, but somewhere…
I chose sleep over mopping last night, myself. 16 weeks to go and somehow #4 is just wearing me out more than the others. I think it’s because I have the others to take care of all day!

me too!!!! I slept from 8-7:30 today and still wasn’t ready to get up. Actually I woke up at midnight when kev came to bed. His comment “you’re not a very sound sleeper are you.” duh he’s finally making the connection after 6 years of marriage. Hee.

You must have really clean kids. My floor starts sticking after about 4 hours. Sir O LOVES to throw food on the floor. Way more fun than ….anything else I guess.

I totally need a good way to mop. I have tons of tile, and the swiffer things get dirty too fast, probably because I mop every, you know, now and again.
Do you have a cool mop you use?

Nope- I use a Swiffer too- only I ran out of Swiffer things, so I stuck an old rag on it, and sprayed it with Method floor cleaner. It worked great!

Ah… well, mopping is okay. As long as it’s only done once in awhile… you know, when it starts looking like the La Brea Tar Pits… that’s a good time to mop

I think in the year we have been in this house, I have mopped the floors once or twice (I know I cleaned before we moved in-that is the once). Bad, I know, but if there isn’t anything sticky on the floor, I don’t mop. I do however vacuume or use the swiffer dry broom to get all the dog hair and large crumbs, but even that only happens about twice a month if I am lucky. I suppose now that I have a kid, sticky will come soon!

You are too funny, I mopped my floor today too! I think it had been at least a month and it feels really nice to slide with socks on right now.
I look at it this way, I am cooped up in the house, the weather is lousy, and since I don’t have a gym membership, mopping is a great form of cardiovascular and strength exercise. Plus you get the added satisfaction of a clean floor (well, for at least a few hours)!
I use the terry cloth removable mop cover, soak and wring it by hand with some diluted Murphy’s Oil Soap. Man my floor was dir-tay!

I, too, like using an old rag (or hand towel) stuck to the swiffer. The terry cloth scrubs really well.
…and I hoped you congratulate yourself on mopping, and don’t feel guilty for not painting today. If it was bothering you and now it’s done, it’ll be easier for you to focus on your art.

well, I guess we all have to draw the line somewhere.
Today my line was that we went to McD’s for breakfast and stayed through lunch (there were so many kids at the playground I didn’t hear them arguing). Then I bought them lunch there.
Mother of the year!!
(that should make you feel better, at least you mopped the floor and didn’t let your baby lick it clean….
